About Us

InterEC.NET is a full-featured job search website for engineers and scientists. We first started in 1995 and this makes us the oldest engineering job search website. In 1997, we moved to interec.net domain and have been here since. We are one of the most popular engineering job search websites on the internet and get approximately 1700 individual visitors every day, approximately 1000 new resumes every six months, and approximately 150 job listings in any given 120 day period.

InterEC.NET features jobs database where job seekers can search for suitable job listings, resume database where job seekers can post their resumes for employers and recruiters, online engineering salary survey, and a discussion forum for engineering related topics. Employers and recruiters can post job listings and search through resumes through their own personalized web page. InterEC.NET also features engineering field specific portal pages such as for Chemical, Electrical, and Mechanical, Civil, and Software Engineering.

InterEC.NET is an independent web site. We are not affiliated with any organization or company listed on this web site nor with any recruiting firm.

Although we maintain a simple and easy-to-use interface, InterEC.NET is one of the most complete jobs and resume database website that you will come across. The features available at InterEC.NET rival those of big name job search websites. The website is based on Sky Web Application Development Framework which allows us to quickly hook up web forms (like those used by employers and job seekers) to back end databases and email systems. SAF takes care of all the nitty gritty details involved in storing and retrieving resumes and job listings into our back-end databases, sending emails to notify users for registration and lost passwords, provide RSS feeds, and many other things.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question 1: Where are the job listings on this web site coming from?

We receive job listings from companies, universities and other academic organizations, and engineering consultancy firms. Some job listings are directly posted by companies. Some job listings are posted by recruiters on behalf of their client companies and some job listings are posted by advertising agencies running a recruitment campaign on behalf of their clients.

Question 2: I saw a job listing yesterday on this web site, but it is no longer here. What happened?

Only two things could have happened: 1) the company, recruiter, or organization that posted the job listing deleted it for whatever reason, or 2) The job listing did not meet our criteria, so we deleted it.

Question 3: What is your criteria for deleting job listings?

In general, we encourage employers to post job listings that include a detailed description of company (or recruiting firm in case of third-party job listings), detailed job description, and full contact information. Job listings that have an extremely short company description or job description are usually deleted. Job listings that tend to advertise a product or service rather than advertising a job are also deleted. Also, InterEC.NET does not accept job listings that require candidates to pay a direct or indirect processing fee to interviewing company or recruiting firm - such job listings will be immediately deleted when discovered or reported by our website users.

Question 4: How long do job listings remain on the website?

Job listings remain on the website for 120 days from the date of posting. After 120 days, job listings are automatically deleted. Employer may choose to delete job listings before 120 days if needed.
