Message: Hi! I am a fresh Mechanical Engineer and joined in such a company which constructs transmission towers, towers on which wind energy fan is situated etc. by cutting plates in c n c plate cutting machine, designing and many other things in a shop floor. After acquiring experience if I change the job, then what kind of experience would I gain? How are the opportunities of this type of experience in the job market? Is it structural/fabrication job? I am worried about it. Kindly, advice me.

Message: It took me some time to figure out what I wanted to do when I got out of college and got my real job. I guess every fresh-our-of-college engineer has to put some thought into where they want there future career to go.

As for transmission towers, they are everywhere and the world isn't going to stop pumping electricity through wires soon, so someone has got to make them. Agreed that they are not as "sexy" as making jet engines, but still a critical area. And shop floor experience should be valuable to any mechanical engineeer in any job.
