| Job Description: | Due to company-wide growth, Washington Gas Energy Systems, Inc. (WGES), a provider of energy conservation solutions, is seeking a talented electrical engineer with experience in the construction industry to provide project management for several energy conservation projects at various federal government buildings. Do you have experience working with emergency generators and electrical distributions systems? If so, join our team and use your electrical engineering expertise to help federal agency clients save both energy and money! In this integral position, you will support 3-4 major electrical upgrade projects by: - Providing active project management in the field; including staff supervision, planning, change order estimating, execution and closeout. - Coordinating plan preparation, drawings, and/or sketches to illustrate project construction requirements on design-build and energy projects - Resolving design build issues. - Maintaining a positive relationship with our federal agency clients. Acting as the primary point of contact with the client; meeting at least weekly. - Managing all subcontracts and subcontractor performance - Being fully responsible for project financial success and administration including all required reporting, billing, A/P and A/R - Negotiating change order scope of work and execution schedule with the client - Organizing closeout of subcontracts and projects per contract requirements **PLEASE NOTE: This is not a Utility gas pipeline installation position. This position concentrates on project management for energy efficiency assignments in occupied federal government buildings.
